Apple has released the iPhone 16 which has a design similar to the old iPhones. As always, everyone is making fun of it, but these people also have a desire for an iPhone in their heart. Apple is used to keeping its design the same for a few years. This does not mean that they fail to create designs but there are many advantages of having a single design.
First, a single design reduces production costs. Everything is easy for you when you fit phone accessories in the same chassis every year. This has the advantage that instead of upgrading the frame, you can upgrade the phone's chip and camera.
This is the reason why even today Samsung, Huawei and Google cannot reach the camera results of Apple. Few geek type people will say that google or huawei result is better but a common person doesn't look at such technical things they just look at the external result which is better than apple.
Second, it allows the chip performance to be at its best, which is why there are still complaints of hangs and APP crashes on Android, while the iPhone barely hangs.
Thirdly, this cuts cost of manufacturing for the company. It replaces old iPhones with new ones and is a great source of dollar savings for it.
Even before now, Apple has kept the design of many phones the same, and so far Apple has changed the design only four or five times in twenty years. This has the advantage that Apple's design becomes recognizable. You will see very few phones that copy the design of Huawei or Samsung. But once Apple changes the design, every small company tries to copy Apple.
Apple's strategy is similar to that of car manufacturers who change their models every few years instead of every year, and their customers stay with them because of quality rather than design.
Some people say that Apple is a status symbol, but it is not, but it is a quality symbol that every affluent person likes to have.
