2017 was indeed the year of innovation and competition. Number of companies introduced their latest perls and they indeed had very tough competetion. Samsung had Galaxy S8 & Galaxy S8 Plus, then came Samsung Galaxy Note 8. On the other hand Apple released iPhone 7S & 7S Plus, iPhone 8 and due to competition they were forced to introduce iPhone X.
On the other side Nokia also decided to give tough time to both smartphone manufacturers. They came with Nokia 3310, Nokia 6, Nokia 5, Nokia 3 and then came their real pearl Nokia 8.
Similarly other companies like HTC, LG, SONY, Huawei, Honor and some others displayed their latest releases. Samsung and Apple had issues with their new releases, which did hurt them.
Android based smartphones equipped themselves with Qualcomm's SnapDragon 835 along with 4GB of RAM paired with 64GB of storage, whereas iPhone sticked to their own chipset. Camera wise Pixel 2 XL was on the top.
Nokia 8 had all the design and camera experience of Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6. The boxlike designs were smoothed out, the edges given gentle curves to let the device sit in the hand. Fingerprint sensor was mounted on the front with home button. In Nokia 8, dual-lens camera (with Zeiss optics) delivered solid imaging results, Qualcomm's QuickCharge allowed fast charging possible.
Sometimes you just need to be the best all-rounder and Nokia 8 covers all the bases with sufficient capability. So our Winner of the Best Smartphone of 2017 is Nokia 8.
