Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has affirmed on Thursday that first Pakistani will be sent to space in 2022.

Prior in July this year, Pakistan Remote Sensing Satellite-1 (PRSS-1) was propelled by Pakistan from China's Jiuquan Satellite Center.
The PRSS-1 is the primary optical remote detecting satellite sold to Pakistan by China, and the seventeenth satellite created by the China Academy of Space Technology (CAST) for an abroad purchaser, as per APP.
The 1,200 kg satellite PRSS-1 is working at an elevation of 640 km. The satellite is helping Pakistan meet its symbolism prerequisites in the zones of land mapping, agribusiness order an appraisal, urban and provincial arranging, ecological checking, catastrophic event administration and water asset administration for financial improvement of the nation.
Another lead satellite, the Pakistan Technology Evaluation Satellite-1A (PakTES-1A), which was indigenously structured and created by Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) engineers, was additionally been co-propelled with PRSS-1 around the same time.
PakTES-1A is a 285-kilogram satellite furnished with an optical payload similar to national needs. It has a structured life of three years and will work at a height of 610km.
